"Gold nanoparticles (GNPs) can be used in pharmacology; hygienic industrial and making laser for disappear cancer and else and there is a concern about their toxicity. In this study have been investigated effects of different doses of gold nanoparticles colloid solution with spherical shape and 10 nm in diameter by injecting and touching methods on changing of ALP level and liver tissue in male mice. 72 male mice of albino/strain, weighting 17-32 gm of average weight 23.97 gm were used. These animals were randomly assigned to two touching and injection categories and each injection category was including five groups: sham, control, 25 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm. sham group was fed normal water and food without any injection and control group was injected with 0.3 ml/day distilled water and other three groups were injected with 0.3 ml/day gold nanoparticles at 25, 50, 100 ppm concentration respectively and control group in touching category was touched with 0.2 ml/day distilled water and other three groups were touched with gold nanoparticles at mentioned previous doses for 14 days. Vein heart blood was taken to measuring ALP enzymes at the end of treatment. Liver organ of mice removed for histological experiments. There were no significant differences on body weight and ALP enzyme levels by these two methods but there was a significant difference between the methods by comparing them in high dose (100 ppm) and also abnormal alterations were observed in the liver tissue so GNPs could be caused undesirable effect on tissue liver."
